Rocking back and forth just increases the odds of ruining your back or shoulders. It's very important to do exercises correctly, especially when weights are involved.
I tend to lean more towards your line of thinking brother

Personally i would lift a lighter weight if I felt the need to rock. I have heard some trainers say its ok and I think Lupe is still hitting his biceps but I would also say when you find yourself being OCD about your form, thats when your on the path to growth. Form and technique is everything, if im not liking my form i have no problem dropping down in weight. Technique is everything to me. I want the perfect curl or press every time and I want to go within a rep or two of failure

Now you're entering stupid terrain.
1. You don't have to overeat to build muscle a minor 200-300 calorie increase above maintenance is enough. If your body fat percentage is over 20-23% you can even gain muscles without changing your diet. You can even gain muscles in a deficit.
2. What does eat like a fat person even mean? Define it. Why does a person who decides to lift weight have to eat like a fat person? You cant do cardio and eat like a fat person? Everyone who does cardio gets their diet magically fixed by the cardio diet fairy?

You're mixing two completely different concepts together. There are literally millions of people in the gym on the threadmill everyday, diet still fu#ked up, flabby, sick with no muscles and a fu#ked up metabolism.

Just....WHAT THE fu#k ARE YOU TAKING ABOUT.....

This would imply that you can control the rocking most people CANNOT control rocking to where they just do it “a little”. It’s best to go in with correct form (correct doesn’t mean strict either) and rocking does indeed impede progress because you are recruiting unnecessary muscle groups for a simple movement
