watched the first ep, this show is straight but im not digging their interpretation of chin gigante, he would have not had any interests in harlem as he was a downtown manhattan guy, not uptown. there were plenty of mob guys uptown they could have used. also frank costello still being the boss of the genovese in 63.. he had been shot in the head BY CHIN GIGANTE in 57 and had stepped down by then.. im gonna keep watching it for a few episodes but they're being a little outlandish with it.

Tired of these shows where the blacks folk are always criminals. It's too many out. Empire, The Chi, Snowfall, This show, Power. I mean come on, where are the cold black shows like Seinfeld, Friends, s3x and the City, Cheers, etc. Not talking Tyler Perry shows or all the soft abc, nbc shows either. I'm talking primetime premium cable shows

I think given the nature of premium cable TV shows, you won't find a big audience for a show outside of the criminal world. Think about reasons why people watch premium cable shows over general cable or network shows: s3x, drugs, violence, profanity -- things that are heavily censored outside of premium cable.

When you try to add those elements to shows not centered around criminality, then it seems forced, where, on the other hand, it's expected in a criminal show.
