The fast travel on the PS4 Pro was still amazingly fast for last gen.
i think at this current point ill skip ragnorok, since right now its not for me, but ill watch a story recap to keep up with it.
God if war is my favorite series ever, and my my favorite mythology greek. And this one just didn't hit like the rest to me. Still a good game should finish it imo. Just GoT is really dope.
It's also my second favorite time period (Fuedal Japan)
roughly the same for me, fuedal jap is badass
ill slowly make it thru these games, im tryna dedicate an hour a day to them, see if it will turn around how i feel
unlike the other dudes here i actually play sh1t
damn do you fast travel that often?

The map opens up like crazy - it ain't Elden Ring sized but it zooms out a good amount the more you play - some spots I just didn't want to have to ride to and from
the ubisoft formula is the reason i couldnt make it thru a$s creed
after a while, im just kinda over it, hopefully i dont make it to that point since i like the time period and gameplay so far
I loved both but GoW takes it for me. The redemption of Kratos, him battling his demons, and learning to be caring is what I loved. Plus I'm a huge fan of Norse mythology so the addition of that has GoW over GoT. Plus GoW had a lot of challenges, especially with the Valkyries where GoT felt fairly easy.
You aren't going to be climbing up towers and diving into hay stacks to unlock the maplost
There's way more variety in the side quests than assassin's creed that's for sure lost again
would you have rather watch a series/movie about GoW or played GoW?
i ask since, you seem to lean on the story more heavily for GoW, and knock GoT for lack of difficulty.
really what makes you say that?
Too much repetition, especially in combat
No sense of discovery and independence in the “open” world
Bosses were too easy
Most open world games have these problems, but we’re too far in gaming to still do the same things as we did in the ps2/Xbox era
Crazy cuz i said the same thing in discord
i think we are just getting old and we realizing most games are the same, making the repetitiveness is more apparent .
Seeing that I love the old God of war gameplay and till this day that I'm pissed off that they change the gameplay.
GoT easily and it's one of my favorite game last gen.
Yeah and once we played Elden Ring we saw things could be different
I like the story and characters of both games a lot though but we’re in 2022 man things need to change

This is bullsh1t. Plenty of discovery in both GoT and GoW. And those harpies weren't no damn easy. I'll give u GoT bosses but even they were entertaining.
And the beauty and immersion of the actual open world itself in GoT is bar none.
