Visually yes..

Cinematography in some parts...yes.

CG so far on the Aliens = A+

Story so far = C- at best.

And some of the acting has been really bad.

But since the actual Alien looks amazing i'll for sure watch the rest.

have to disagree with this one, as someone who has watched every alien IP and learned a lot of the lore thru the comics and books

the good: Ideas that seem like they would play well with the franchise

The bad: everything else. They are going against their own established lore to make a visually appealing TV show that feels ultimately hollow.

For example, they are looking to capture the alien for the key to immortal life and weapons research.

When they already have both with the synths they introduce into the show. Since we know in 2 years the movie Alien will come along, the technology will be destroyed or "lost" by the end of this show. Even though they have cyborgs (Weyland tech) who never make an appearance in any Alien IP after this show. Including the colonial marines sent to LV-246 in James Cameron's "Aliens," which is like almost 100 years after this show.

a lot more scratch-your-head moments vs being a smart show; it's just going for horror elements and nostalgia.

If you like gore and futuristic sci-fi CGI, you will like this.

in reality, this is just a re-hash of too many "peter pan" elements.

Nerder0tic been a creep behind keypads, If he or any of those weirdos really read the comics or graphic novels that come out during the 90s, this one is not any better while expanding the universe. Newsflash: Most of the horror genres came from fables, children's stories and other child tales of some sort so all that bullsh1t he's whining about is null in void. If you hate Disney that much or that anti corporate, don't watch plain and simple

The show is OK so far Im enjoying what i see, there's 5 episodes left to see where it goes.

U can see how cheap they were in totality with the show.

U only send in a small group of about 5 stimulant kids that have no prior battle experience against creatures SUPER engineered to kill

Big ol Space ship crash lands and people dont know, dont feel the quake of a massive object crashing down near them

And for all the teasers the different alien creatures in those pods meant nothing and the show showed little interest in them besides quick shock kills

I Waited a couple weeks so I can watch 3 straight eps.
Hope its as good as Romulus,but Noah Haley isn't really a good choice IMO...Dude ruined potentially a dope X-Men series wit Legion...I mean the pieces were all there for u to play wit...Couldnt even get patrick stewart for 1 episode or some xmen cameos?? For like 3 seasons?? foh Noah

I dont watch shows anymore when they first come out cause they will cancel the fu#k out of a show, prime example is raised by wolves. Shiw was fu#king epic, and they just killed it. Im watching Resident Alien right now, Im on the second season and surprisingly show is flames.
