OVODocket Opinion: Why is UMG Recordings hesitant to provide Drake�s legal team with the unredacted version of Kendrick Lamar�s recording contract? Two things.

1. We believe it�s because Interscope Records was irresponsible enough to place certain stipulations in Kendrick Lamar�s contract that not only incentivized him to engage in the rap battle with Drake but would also reward him following the rap battle.

2. We believe Kendrick Lamar�s contract contains language that proves Drake�s legal team�s allegation that UMG has the authority to alter/edit/remove Kendrick Lamar�s music and related works. Thereby, UMG was fully capable of stopping the defamatory statements in �Not Like Us� from being published and promoted, which they failed to do.

Per legal filings, an additional contract agreement between Interscope Records and Kendrick Lamar was executed on April 27 2024.

So this Midget mf made sure that the label would help him before he dropped those diss tracks wanting certain guarantees... And you mfs call Drake a bi#ch

This mf a whole fraud... But it doesn't matter coz Drake is a light skin Canadian

I remember Joe Budden talked about this sh1t... This deal was signed under Kendrick and not PGLang... He signed another deal right before his album dropped after certain goals were fulfilled... Both UMG and Drake's legal team promised to keep that information out of the public eye... They're not interested in how much money he got... They want to see what the company policies are aka does one artist have the right to defame another artist on their label and if the label could've prevented him from doing that...
