For a country with over 1.3 billion people. China is cooking with fish grease with how they manage and plan for the future. Is it perfect HELL no. I saw a video where a American got an MRI, full blood panel and X-rays in China, scheduled via an app for the next day.

It cost $80 and the wait at the hospital was 5 minutes. They were out in an hour with lab results in hand.

In the US, that same thing would run you $5,000 - $12,000 uninsured.

You'd wait at the hospital with people coughing all over you. You'd wait to get your labs back. And you'd probably wait to get scheduled if it's not referred by a doctor.
