I not usually on that conspiracy sh1t but I think optometrist lie because they get to charge more. When I was getting my sh1t done I asked the lady how much it cost and she was like "i forget the amount" and she was like it's I think 25 bucks more because I have a stigmatism that magically everyone in my family supposedly has. I think that 25 bucks is low enough where they not getting checked on it because insurance is like whatever.

Severe astigmatism, have to get my contacts custom made. Lucky to even have contacts as it wasn't an option over 10yrs ago. Had it since I was a kid but never truly wore corrective lenses until my mid 20s

That is some bs that they would charge u more just for that, did you go to a private practice? Most ppl that wear glasses have astigmatism and an easy way for u to find out if u do is if you have a 2nd “number” in your prescription. For example -1.00-1.75x080. The -1.75 represents your cylinder power and astigmatism. It also means your eyeball is kinda football shaped instead of being round.

My BM went and got that lasik it changed her life. The way they described it was they cut a small layer of eye off and it's like new.

I dont care for any surgery but so far she's been great and it's been 10 years.

yeah he def told me about the football shape sh1t. I thought all optomotrist were private practice. I didnt go to the hospital if that's what your asking.

idk I think this is one of those situations like adhd they can say anyone has it technically based on it's definition if that makes any sense.

i had lasik in 1996....vision was 20/450 in both eyes

now its 20/60 left eye and 20/40 right

U may be right about most optometrist being private practice, that I’m not sure of but I just meant did you go see the dr at their own spot and or somewhere else like an eyeglass world, vision works etc? Or even at a sams club or Costco? But nah they can’t make that sh1t up or your doctor would be doing some fu#ked up sh1t. You can look them up to see if they’ve been in trouble with their Board or any complaints. You can literally tell by your prescription if u have astigmatism. U could always get a test done by another dr if u don’t trust your current one. Only way I can see your dr fu#kin up on that is if u barely have any astigmatism but he/she is saying u have more than what it really is and wanted to be a d1ck and charge u for that. My eye dr doesn’t charge extra just cuz u have astigmatism.

i dont drive that much no more so i dont clean my windows as much. but some of that is streaking from not cleaning your windows all the way.
