I kind of enjoyed the soundtrack but I can see where you're coming from, it should have been music from that time period, I like the show, I'mma keep watching it but something didn't pull me in 100% might be the music, modern music might take a little away from the authentic feel....love how they have Malcolm active as hell in it

Edit: Nah...scratch all that show is fu#kin fire...just so many good shows out nowadays

Can you recommend some shows. All my favorite show take 2 years to drop another season.

Better Call Saul, walking dead, Atlanta, super natural are some of my favorites. I want to watch the wire but I think i messed that up because I watched alot of the best moments of YouTube already. My co worker recommended True Detective and says it's a really great show and probably be the next show I binge...

Tired of these shows where the blacks folk are always criminals. It's too many out. Empire, The Chi, Snowfall, This show, Power. I mean come on, where are the cold black shows like Seinfeld, Friends, s3x and the City, Cheers, etc. Not talking Tyler Perry shows or all the soft abc, nbc shows either. I'm talking primetime premium cable shows

the chi has a criminal element but most of the main characters are regular people, but you're right. only one i can think of is insecure.

I can dig that. With good acting and good writing. The right amount of edge and realism.

Shows way better than any of the white ones you mentioned. However "they" always find a way to get rid of them.

Premium TV shows... Chapelle show was sketch comedy. Boondocks was a cartoon. Cosby show ended 30 years ago

I was nervous about how they would portray Malcolm. But they have given him a nice balance. I'm also glad they are not sugarfooting with the mafia dudes being racist. I always have a problem with blacks idolizing mafia gangsters, when in truth they hated the sh1t out of black people.
