Half way thru and this is the worst penultimate episode ever (actually looking like worst episode of the season) They definitely ain't following the GOT model
It's the first season they are still setting up the characters...this show is clearly a slow burn and will take it's time to develop the story unlike Empire, Snowfall, or Power that all move at fast paced with no real expectations of timelines...this show takes it time to let you know weeks and or months pass between each episode...

There is a guy in this thread that does the weekly break down of fact vs fiction. So far most of it is true..but some of the events that happen(like Bumpy getting shot) are off..he did get shot..but it was years earlier..the X and Johnson friendship was apparently real..but perhaps not to the close extent the show implies

They didn't do it alone though.........the US gov had alot to gain with JFK out the way so you know they aided them, but yeah the mob (specifically Sam Giancana) got him the fu#k out of there. They thought JFK was gonna give a literal back door pass to the white house but JFK was like nah n1gga, fu#k you, fu#k the lobbyist, fu#k the racist, and fu#k self interest.

I googled a little bit. I think some things from the show imply relationships especially with the dialogue. Apparently when malcolm left the nation of Islam bumpy wanted to protect him. Malcolm told him not to worry and like 3 weeks later malcolm died

The show is dope but......

They killin me with every time bumpy or one of the Italians make a move. Someone on the other side always guesses absolutely correct on how they did it with out any fu#kin clues snitches or anything. Like bruh ain’t nobody that damn smart to keep guessing the moves made to make Shiite happen. That’s my only beef with the show. That Shiite is so annoying

Forest Whitaker needs to go down as one of the best. I've never seen him play something poorly. Even that garbage movie Vantage Point.

Finally got caught up. Show sort of stumbled the back-end of the season. Some sh1t was becoming redundant (E.g., Stella & Teddy), and some just were seemingly going nowhere. Malcolm stole the show for sure though. By the end, I was wanting more episodes wit' just him, or a spin off or some sh1t, even though we got the book and movie already.

And as much as I fu#k with Vincent D Onofrio, I could do without his character for next season (if there is one). He wasn't bad or anything, but I was just exhausted with his character by the end. And then there's taking liberty like taking multiple stories and maybe condensing them into one character, or playing with the timeline (Gigante) but they can chill out wit' some sh1t like Ali gettin' kidnapped and sh1t, lol.

You could tell this was from the wife's perspective though
