you can see the game mode before you load in a map, technically you could close the game and relaunch till you get slayer instead of wasting 10-15mins in matches you dont like

How the hell do you switch your guns? I go to customize and don't see anywhere to make a default. The only gun I'm able to use are the default rifle and pistol. Do you have to be a certain level?

And is there a regular pass where you get stuff or do you have to buy the premium?

Yeah I haven't played much Halo over the years. Especially online. I know you can get guns in match but I was just wondering if you could start off with a shotgun or another type of guns Seems like more times than not I run into someone with a superior gun and they destroy me while I shoot blanks.

This is Halo’s biggest flaw imo. Being able to pick load outs spoiled us

Some call it a flaw some call it a selling point. Halo is an arena shooter where part of the fun is map control and knowing where to pick up the power weapons
