A few things:

1. YHWH and Jesus are the same God (Jesus literally said as much more than once. It's the reason the jews killed Him). YHWH is God the Father (the One who Jesus would pray to), Jesus is God the Son (the perfect living image of YHWH), and God the Spirit is the Holy Spirit. They're all seperate "persons", but one God.

2. Jesus didn't take on a new nature, He just established a new covenant with different parameters. The Old covenant was really only meant to serve 2 purposes: A. To get the children of Israel to realize that they couldn't live up to God's perfect law and needed a Savior and B. To point the way to the answer to their salvation in Jesus. Nearly every story in the Old Testament from the story of Exodus where the jews were instructed to sacrifice a "lamb without blemish" to escape God's judgement on Egypt to literally the first prophecy in all of scripture in Genesis 3 where God curses the serpent and proclaims "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel,” scripture was always putting towards the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus (AKA the salvation of all mankind).

3. Even in the New Testament everyone always focuses on Jesus in the gospels who in His first incarnation came as a "lamb", but conveniently forget the Jesus of revelation who returns to earth as the "Lion of Judah" (a global conquerer and world ruler) to put to death once and for all all of His enemies and those who practice lawlessness. It's true that Jesus is a God of love and mercy, but He's also a God of truth and justice and those who spurn His love, spurn His truth, and spurn His mercy will receive that which they've sown for themselves through their own iniquity.

On the other hand though, I can definitely feel for and empathize with the Ukranian people for having to live through a war that has no foreseeable end in sight and even if there is, Putin won't stop till he's dead.
