If you're making 20k a month why would you tolerate living like that?
I've never lived in such fu#ked up circumstances. The worst I had were roaches the last time I lived in apartment and that was for a few months (the roaches left with Indian neighbors). And I wasn't paying 3k, nor did I have a roomate.
Yea I do NOT understand why people live in NY on purpose.
I dont feel sorry for none of yall who stay in NY or LA you mf want the zip code so bad just to say you live in a certain place you if they r@pe yo a$s so the fu#k what right hey at least I live in NY, LA haha dumb a$s .. I live in cleveland just bought my second home for 3k a month on my mortgage I got a fu#king 3200 square foot home 4 bed 3 baths in the burbs while n1ggas complaining about rats I got a full basement that look like a extra apartment under my house .. in Texas you can get damn near a mansion for 200 300k
No disrespect but NY got way too many rats and roaches to pay anything that you can pay a mortgage in. Making 100k in NY isnt much when you have to have roommates to live in a decent building.
I just don't understand the city living. Maybe if you're in your early 20s or work in the finance market or artist. But raising a family f@getaboutit
Some Landlords in Philly not renewing hud contracts and evicting all tenets. Even more fu#ked up
NY people are delusional 4700 a month is a really nice house somwhere else with a home theater and pool. They think they can make it living in NY. The city doesnt offer sh1t but overpriced rent and crime.
Build more housing
(not ban, but you get the idea. This the only sign waiving emoji we got)
What’s the incentive?
Owners benefit from rising rents
Supply and demand
If landlords cost go up why wouldn’t tenants
Tax goes up 20% vs the HUD 13% who makes up the difference
I can somewhat understand the appeal of southern Cali but to pay those prices to live in anywhere in the northeast is crazy to me.
And you can miss me with the "bUt i CAn bUy Kor3An f00D at 3aM".
Ain't no reason to tolerate the level of filth and squalor in many parts of NYC.
Don't tell em bruh those Cali fu#ks move to TX and now tryna turn tx into cali
Appreciate that. I guess the said advantages of being a HUD landlord is false.
The city depending on your personality and what you do is one of the best cities to live in just dont let housing r@pe you. So much to do here at any time of the day and the salaries go further. I know cus I work for national IT and the sh1t they make in say Richmond is nothing compared to NYC. I make what managers in IT would make in 90% of the country.
It aint the zipcode its so much to do. Purchasing a house on a 50k salary I will say is easier to do and to be honest after living in new york chicago and VA I'm just not moving to CLeveland idc how cheap property is thats not for me.

Higher return from the land. I can rent one house for $1000 or I can rent 5 apartments on the same lot for $800.
Allow building, like in Houston or Tokyo, and rents will remain modest. Discourage building, like in SF or NYC, rents increase despite what's being produced.
It's tiktok. Story probably fake.

Okay I get that, but $4700/month for a place that’s mediocre, seems ridiculous unless you making like 10-20k/month. Even if I’m making 10k per month, I’d still be pissed paying something that high.
having to share an already small space, that has cockroaches and rats.
Ain’t no way I’d sign up for that.
