This is for the true middle class $150,000 single 300k married-Jointly and under not for all the big ballers on boxden.
To down play this like it's nothing is hilarious when if anything it's better than what's currently in place and what they were planning which was a 20% increase in taxes.
Another thing people don't realize is how butchered this bill got capped to by congress for it to be able to pass. it's not the original BBB. Guess why there is no longer unlimited true no tax on tips or overtime.
Guess who blocked that. It wasn't Trump or the "magas"

- No tax on overtime
The bill does include tax relief on overtime
up to $12,500 per year single or 25k joint . That's tax-free, not “eliminated” taxes across unlimited income.
If you’re hitting that cap on top of your pay congrats, you’re most likely not the average struggling worker with a family.
So it’s not “nothing.” It’s a targeted benefit and it’s better than what it was before for people that qualify. which was zero tax relief on overtime.

- No Tax On Tips
The $25K cap on untaxed tips provides help for peeps in the service industry.
Yea, it’s been capped. It’s called a policy compromise. Ask congress why.
Unlimited untaxed income is not what our congress is for in anything. majority of congress voted it out of it.
For context: $25K in tax-free tips at a 15% tax rate is $3,750 in your pocket, every year on top of your return if you have one. That’s some relief, once again better than what's current.

- No tax on Social Security” — Then why a $6K single or 12k married cap?” This part is confused. Social Security is already mostly untaxed for low-income seniors, and partially taxed for higher incomes.
The bill aims to expand untaxed benefits up to a point not eliminate taxes altogether. Again, it’s better than before and will benefit low income seniors.

It's a rescission bill. Congressional rules don’t allow removing taxes altogether so they had to
Put caps. If the Republicans had tried to remove these taxes in a separate bill, the Democrats had enough votes to defeat them. in a recession bill, that only needs a majority. A new or individual bill, takes 60 votes in the senate, Republicans only have 53, and there is not a single democrat that wanted to vote for it. They trashed the original BBB alongside a few Republicans and this is what our congress ended up deciding what is best for people lol good ol congress knows what's best.
it's not greatest cause unlimited would of been good for a lot of folks but is something for those that can use any relief they can get opposed to sh1t increasing.

This also does not bring up 2017 permanent cuts. The expanded standard deduction . Increased child tax credit.

fu#k this misleading article to simply say it will only average out to about 1400 in savings for some people is False as hell. Don't let these articles fool you.

People need to really look into the math and read the now provisioned bill that would apply to their situation from it all combined cuts and credits deductions and they will see what they truly will get from this bill.
Lol what?

0 democrats voted for this bullsh1t bill. So how tf are you making the claim they butchered the bill?

This was a reconciliation bill. All they needed was a simple majority which they always had. Everything that’s in or not in the bill was up to the republicans.

This that sh1t I don't like. Dems and Republicans ain't sh1t. From the BBB being worse then what it could be to Obamacare of Biden's Build Back Better Act that didn't pass both sides are a$$holes. They see something the other side can do that's good for the people and they do everything they can not to block it, but to defang it so it doesn't benefit us as much.

1 in 10 really benefit from this, which means 90% of Americans don't.

Just because a couple thousand dollars are thrown at you once a year doesn't mean it's fair when the benefits in this bill to the rich give them hundreds of thousands of more. It's targeted all right.

It's also the other things in the bill like no regulations on AI for 10 years which can lead to serious issues. Just ask folks in Memphis

This. Specifically, the part of overtime...a cap makes the change make sense and itt specifically benefits just those at the bottom. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act mostly benefit higher earning individuals. The pay increase to low earning workers was minimal, because when you're talking percentages...when you're not making much to begin with, you're also barely paying much into taxes.

I say this and I generally (and proudly) despise Trump, but I'm able to recognize something positive.

This is how he got the stupid people last time. He puts in something that expires as his term is over then he gets to blame to next president for not doing a good job as things go back up. Big facts! First thing I noticed was that expiration date.

This was a genius marketing ploy by the Republicans. I THOUGHT it would be some fu#kery and it appears I'm right but hey great job on their part.

With that being said GOT DAM when will the government stock fu#king over the working American. Like seriously. Why can't we have unlimited no taxes on overtime. I'm going above what my job requires, I should reap the full benefits. Like it doesn't even impact the employer at all, especially tips. Tips have nothing to do with the employer. This should be anti-American
When will the people vote better is the issue , they could of vote for West

This was a reconciliation bill. All they needed was a simple majority which they always had. Everything that’s in or not in the bill was up to the republicans.
First off for those that don't know.
The no tax on tips was never a 100% elimination of taxes or unlimited in this reconciliation bill that just passed that was a misconception that most thought It was.
It was always structured deduction they have been posted the details since June what the deductions were for taxes and ot in this reconciliation bill.
then to be introduced as true stand alone bills eliminating them fully in individual bills before midterms as a strategy to boost Republicans favor.
If Dems vote against the no taxes at all on these things it can be a bad look for them during midterms.

Reason being for 1 you can't eliminate taxes fully in anything in a reconciliation bill full of other things.
it has to be individual stand alone bill and voted by 60 or more cause gop hold only 53
Meaning 7 Dems would have to flip over to Republicans side in order to pass. Do you think that's happening? Lol highly doubt it
Reason I said they butchered the original is because the provisions they want strips it to hell from the medicaid cuts border and ice funding to the taxes being eliminated cause their position is mostly it will add on to the deficit instead of decrease it.
In order to get the taxes eliminated fully this one had to pass to set up those the individual ones.
It barely did it had to be a tie breaker by Vance in the Senate.

You just said it too 0 votes for it. Why 0 votes ? Just to say fu#k you? You think there gonna all the sudden vote for the stand alone bills connected to this one for no taxes on tips and over time? Maybe
Not one was ok with this bill though lol and yes it was not 100% Dems cause 2 repubs voted against massie and rand Paul.

How is this a bullsh1t bill? If all the original things that were in the bill people are mad or believe Trump conned them are in motion to be introduced and put on Dems to decide if they're for it or not directly instead of lumping other reasons from a big 1000+ page bill
What are you not for in it?

I don't think see the strategy gop is trying to pull with this before mid terms.

Let me clarify something I'm not cheering this on like it's some big great thing.
I'm speaking solely on the tax cuts and what was in the ops article for the people that qualify as far as the tax cuts/tips/ot and that its a bullsh1t article and not addressing several factors for the 150,000 to 300k married that it does not address.
Me personally I want ALL taxes gone but it's not realistic neither party will ever do that imo.
Tax the filthy rich more I'm cool with that too IDGAF is that gonna carry over to me benefiting from it ? If so I'm all for it.

Everything else in the bill is debatable and subjective from the AI to medicaid etc
Is it the greatest bill ever as far as tax cuts. can it be better of course but wtf is the other option from our government?

I'm just saying it's something better than current for a lot of people. And yes you right it's not no life changing sh1t for middle class people it's throwing some peanuts but the 1400 average claim is str8 bullsh1t for many reasons the 2017 deductions are back multiple credits have increased the standard deductions have increased small business have some relief thrown in the deductions if you get it ot or tips its a lil step in the right direction for certain people all it as far taxes goes imo.
