Spike has given us classics in the Black community, and that was always his first love. As long as he has the support of Black audiences, he will always be good. Moves like this is to keep younger eyes aware of his works. The young generation is not seeking out movies like Mo' Better Blues, Do the Right Thing, and Jungle Fever. Those were period pieces that encapsulated the feel of 90s New York to a high degree with flair and style.
Spike's works won't be replicated for better or worse.
