If Pickett get cut somebody gon pick him up. I just think they get rid of Pickett cause for one he a$s but i think they gon have to eventually give the rookies a shot to see wat they can do in the regular season & Pickett would just be in the way. We know they ain’t winning sh1t this year so once Flacco get hurt or they completely outta contention that’s gon be when Gabriel & shedeur get their chance to prove themselves

I agree 100%. I think he gets the first shot to replace Flacco when they sit him down or he gets sat down with an injury. I wouldn’t pass up that opportunity if I were him just to touch the field even for a week or 2. He’s an emergency option anywhere else once guys get hurt. Some good film will help him get another job once they turn to the rookies.

The minute Pickett got hurt? Flacco was QB1 the minute he signed his contract to return to the Browns. Flacco gave the Browns a playoff birth just two seasons ago. Pickett is only QB2 because his competition for it are rookie 3rd & 5th round picks.

That said, no human that follows football expected Pickett, Gabriel or Sanders to be named QB1 to start the season. The biggest news on those names won't be known until the 2026 regular season kicks off. 2025 will be Flacco so long as he's still competitive. If he's not...they're going to experiment with the others, but nothing will be off any significance until season two.

When you think about it he has no incentive to re-sign with the Browns if he got cut because it confirms the choice for the “QB of the future” is Gabriel once they move towards planning for next year.

Whether he gets claimed for a 53 or finds a situation that offers an opportunity to build towards being a backup solution elsewhere via the PS. It all depends on which NFL teams wants to put up with the “headache” of a popular backup that everybody is going to talk about and gravitate towards.
