Crime could definitely be better but this isn’t a way to address it especially long term. The problem with Trump even when he is directionally correct, he is a moron. The study of criminology is a real thing and law enforcement is just one part of that. lm not a criminology expert but I spent close to a year learning about when DC crime was getting really high. The criminal justice system has all different parts law enforcement, law makers, judges, prosecutors, etc. Nevermind all the social issues. Like I said crime can be addressed but it can’t be like Me Trump Me send more cops. He’s an over confident moron which a bad combination. Like a quick example is if the cops arrest people but legal system doesn’t prosecute them and releases criminals to do more crime then what’s the point? Cops are going to get disillusioned and stop arresting people. Or if there aren’t enough jails or juvenile detention facilities to house these wilds a$s YNs. So much more goes into it. Plus the need for more after school programs and all that. Trump could be force for good but instead he is Trump lol

But don't talk about the 30,000 innocent people sitting in their jails who haven't been officially charged with crimes and have no contact with anyone on the outside.

No mention of torture by the police to acquire accusations and confessions. No mention of the torture of minors.





They should do more to reduce crime. But didn't they already sweep the streets and hit everyone with football numbers? Why are we back to the same point? We just gonna wait every couple decades to swoop in and break up families? That's the best response we can come up with for crime? And can we be sure that this won't just be another government effort that disproportionally negatively affects black families?

Football numbers are excessive but the truth of the matter is that prison doesn’t really rehabilitate anyone. It’s just a timeout for adults (and some teens).

The other thing is there’s no one is sitting in jail if you’re innocent. You might be captured on some bullsh1t but you got away with some bigger sh1t in the past. Karma doesn’t work like that, locking up the totally innocent. There’s forces at work that are greater than what you see and read in the media.

I agree but as someone who came from that environment and may have dabbled in and out of that lifestyle I can say that there is always another way to better yourself. One doesn’t have to accept what is seemingly forced upon one’s self. Yes the game is rigged and they are playing with loaded dice but you have to get creative to circumvent their bullsh1t.
