Plus T.I. is always visible on social media in drama and was on TV/movies for a while.
I honestly don’t know his reasoning for it, but he dropped like 4 or 5 projects that did so well, spawned so many memorable songs like you said that did crossover and he just checked out around 2011/2012. He did go to jail around that time in his prime. But I think he just sat on his first 7 albums as being his “legacy” as the King of the South.
He hasn’t had a real hit or been on a hit since Blurred Lines. Massive song but the denouncement of the song came so fast with lawsuits and think pieces on it that I’d be shocked if it’s in any casual “hits” playlist. They made it the anthem of the “Me Too” movement.
