Nah b what's lacking is a lot of the new "popular" artist all sound the same and don't have any original style, bunch of clones
How’s that different from 20 years ago when everybody was rapping on sped up soul sample beats?

Another cop out.

First off it was most parents and grandparents.

Then your dumb a$s is talkin about none rappers your parents listened to in they youth.

You actually proven my point with your old grumpy delusional hatin self that’s stuck in the fu#kin 1980’s and 1990’s
Ok clown hip hop wasn't out when my mom was a youth, she liked what I presented to her since I grew up on hip hop and been there pretty much from day one, so your point is mute. Don't blame me for holding these new rappers to a high standard, sh1te if you want to stay in a low circumference of awareness masking it on being "outside" that's your choice and explains why a lot of y'all are crashing out, but I digress....carry on

Sounds like Mannie Fresh did shrooms for the first time ever and decided to resurect a beat he threw in the trash. Boy rappin sounds likethe freestyle battles the down syndrome kids used to have in highschool.

What does “mainstream” mean.

No or extremely limited radio play is “mainstream”.

Hip-hop is suppose to be gettin it off the muscle and not forced.

Make it make sense. They’re actual hella “wack” rappers Will way more billboard top 10’s.

It’s this targeting who makes it happen through the music and none of that industry push sh1t like the ones y’all should be bi#chin about.
Radio spins advertising with fortune 500 companies,TV appearances ,social media streaming etc is mainstream ....people have been bi#ching about mainstream since the mid 90s..not just now.....industries always target women and young adults because they consume alot more products than older men......the diversity of hiphop was destroyed before nba young existed or his era.....they target the youth young so they can be groomed to like certain music just like V-bucks on fornite....my son has bought 3 ps5 worth of V-bucks because everybody else does ...the entertainment is dumbing down the music

I don’t be knowing these n1ggas names. And all of them except 3-4 sound different…… I always have to ask “yo who is this?”

Some of it is good for the gym, but it’s not music that I’m chillin listening to. I won’t throw on a full album

n1ggas like pooh and 30, I fu#ks wit. I just don’t be knowing all these n1ggas names and who raps what. I don’t know any full songs, just a couple of bars. I used to be able to rap songs word for word….. now? Nah. Not even with Eminem. Last Eminem album I knew word for word was relapse

I’m out of touch with giving a damn to learn these new n1ggas sh1t. I’ll stick to just listening.

You are the clown.

No sh1t. And your parents wasn’t the first to swear by no damn rap music either.

Why is it difficult for you to accept your time has passed?

Enjoy those 40 50 60 year old rappers. That’s your fu#kin era you old senile goofy.

And keep searching for young artist to sound like artist from your youth.

You old fu#kers have always been the problem.

Even them NYC 1980 rappers was hatin on that 1990’ rap crap you swear by

Bruh do you have dyslexia?
Stop trying to rewrite what I typed...

Matter of fact I'm done with you
Your not worth the brain cells trying to figure out what your saying.
You got it keep listening to your crash dummy idols while you're outside lacking substance.

That man has been fighting federal charges for the past 2 plus year and you need to call that 23 year old kid

That “kid” sh1t been a constant theme for HATERS ONLY.

Then this
Mainstream isn't just the radio and tv ....hiphop got artist for all ages....NBA Youngboy ain't for me

mixed in with complements is that sneak sh1t.

Who is currently in your opinion the most successful “mainstream” non “mainstream” organic rapper.

Wanna see something.
Calm your sensitive a$s down...I gave NBA his props ...you all over the place..you didnt even post my og post

i still fu#k with some newer sh1t even tho i'm in my mid 30s now.

i'm actually kind of shocked that younger people are even still on message boards like BX tho. i would of figured a lot of them would be off message boards by now because it's such an old technology. but that's just a generalization everyone different and got their own story so i get it. but that's why a lot of BX likes "old head rap" on BX... this is an old platform. it's gonna have a plethora of old heads.

Don’t matter.

After these numbers become official this will be the youngest artist in the history of billboards across all genres with the most top 100 billboard singles and the fastest to 100 billboard charting singles.

If you think steams mean a fu#kin thing to anyone, you must be generation fruit. We want to know units moved, not how many times you soys stream the same song over over. That dont mean sh1t to anyone, anywhere outside of BX.

Yea I did.

That’s why it was asked what “mainstream” meant to you.

And again that “kid” sh1t is a tell tail sign mixed in with “complements”.

Ain’t never heard a 23/24 year old 2 Pac called a damn child. Or any rapper that’s 23/24 a fu#kin child.
You didnt post my og post..you edited it.....I said kid has talent ....I see his appeal...I like some songs...I said this in my og post
