I never really fu#ked with main stream since early 2000s. I never really care for whats on the radio.

Last song I liked in recent memory on the radio was King Combs can't stop

It's hilarious to me how n1ggas have a hard time finding good music or liking the sh1t that's out

I have never been outta touch with hip-hop and I always got some new sh1t in the playlists

And as for the young boy song u posted...u act like we didn't come up on

"Oooh baby I like it raawwwWw"

"Shimmy shimmy ya"

Just like any other era across all genres of music.

Plenty of “trash” artist/ rappers from the 1980’s 1990’s 2000’s have been filtered out.

Always been that way always will be that way.

Y’all just on y’all Delores Tucker on steroids sh1t these days

Nah b what's lacking is a lot of the new "popular" artist all sound the same and don't have any original style, bunch of clones

I’ve accepted I can’t listen to none of the drill rappers or the NBA Youngboy types. I’m checking for any younger rappers under 30 that make music I would enjoy but it’s hard.

It could be argued using your picking and choosing “popular” rappers / artist from the 1980’s 1990’s sounded the same.

Wasn’t there fussing over rappers “takin” using someone else style.

That’s cool you need to believe you lived your youth in the greatest era of music / rap history ever.
emoji

Sure people that lived they youth in the 60’s or whatever feel the same way.

That’s all that’s going on. Stop makin it more complicated
Bruh stop you obviously were not there so you can't speak on it,

Yeh I'm gonna say we are, I grew up listening Luda, Twista, Jay Z, Eminem, Tech N9ne, Rocafella, Dipset, GUnit, Disturbing The Peace, State Property etc...when n1ggas battled for lyrical supremacy on track against each other....now....anything that's "hot"....gets this reaction

Music falls 3rd to someone’s personality and social media now. These young kids dnt have anything to compare nba by to so they think it’s dope. It’s like feeding a hoodbooger Chinese and McDonalds and she’s happy. I genuinely dnt think it’s cuz ur olde, the music is just bad.

Mainstream isn't just the radio and tv ....hiphop got artist for all ages....NBA Youngboy ain't for me but I have heard some of his music....I get his appeal and i like some songs ...Kid got talent but overall he isnt for me ...I think underground hiphop is on top....Mainstream isnt as big as it use to be...hiphop needs to be dominated by the underground were it started ....I dont trust the higher ups to make hiphop respectful on mainstream stage nomore
