QUEENS — Murder charges were dropped against the Queens man accused of gunning down rap star 50 Cent's longtime associate, Mazaradi Fox, after a key witness said the police coerced her into falsely testifying against him, sources told DNAinfo New York.

Queens District Attorney Richard Brown early Tuesday dismissed the case against Jamal Scott, who has spent two years in prison for allegedly shooting up Mazaradi’s SUV at a Springfield Gardens intersection in January 2014, killing Mazaradi and wounding three others, including Rayesha Brockington.

Although Brockington and other witnesses initially said the gunman was wearing a mask, Brockington changed her story and identified Scott as the killer, according to court records.

But she changed her story again last summer, insisting NYPD detectives coerced her into fingering Scott in a lineup under the threat they would report her to the city’s Administration for Children’s Services, which would take her children, records showed.

Brockington, 34, was indicted for perjury, which set in motion the decision on Tuesday to drop charges against Scott, who has a lengthy police record, including for weapons possession.

Investigators suspected that the apparent ambush of Mazaradi — whose real name is Jamal Green — stemmed from the 1998 killing of Scott’s brother, Curtis. Green was suspected, but never convicted.

“I think the Police Commissioner has to be made more aware of what is going on within his department and its everyday activities,” said Scott’s lawyer, Marvyn Kornberg, referring to the alleged coercion in the case.

It was unclear if any officers faced disciplinary action.

Mazaradi was a boyhood pal of 50 Cent and appeared in videos with members of G-Unit. But unlike 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, Green struggled to find success.

Green was convicted of weapons possession in 2001 and served four years in prison. He was convicted of assault in 2011 and served another two years, prison records show.

But 50 Cent continued to offer support. When Green's 14-year-old step-daughter, D'aja Robinson, was shot and killed on a Queens bus, 50 Cent paid for the funeral, the New York Times reported.
