It's not peace yet but it's a good step towards it.

It looks like they are in a good position for the peace treaty to happen.

The sh1t Zelensky has been posting the past few days on X seems like he really is not for compromise or really ending it unless he gets his way 100% And expects America to continue to fully be committed to them in security and money. In his words he wants "Everything" as far as America backing them because Russia are liars and will attack again.

That's not going to fly, and not how sh1t works in a peace treaty there has to be a middle and both willing to give up things.
America's commitment to them needs to decrease which it has under Trump.
unless we are getting something in exchange that's equally beneficial. We have already supplied them for years with funding and weapons and there has been no substantial progress in them gaining ground or winning to the point Putin says fu#k it and calls it off and he won't it will just drag on and on.
The only reason Putin has not used his full potential to wipe out Ukraine is cause America is in the mix playing bodyguard from a distance and if they do it potentially might lead to America vs Russia war. Throw in a few European countries and now we are the ones trying to to broker a peace treaty between both not Europe not UN.
If Zelensky is not willing to come to a mutual agreement then let them continue fighting on but let Europe and UN back them fully at this point imo we have done our part as much as we can in their war.

And the whole thread is misleading. Pretty much nothing has changed. Russia just a couple hours ago said no nato for Ukraine, no nato troops there.
So what is the security guarantee? A deal that is basically the same thing as Ukraine joining nato, just not using those words is what they have planned. And Russia will say no.
