A lot of sh1t is wrong with this reply, first, any scholar on the Ancient Near East would tell you that the modern people you see in the land today are NOT the people of Ancient texts, secondly not one person had anglicized names like Jason in Ancient times.
The patriarchs were more than likely eponymous characters and Ancient Israel were Canaanites that converted to the Torah.
