They're different. Smart is better at guarding bigger stronger players. Jrue excels guarding quicker guards and wings. Jrue has better lateral quickness, smart has more strength. Straight up guarding a guy 1 on 1 Jrue is better

That 40 isn't what won the game. It kept them in the game. The late game heroics by jrue and of Bobby Portis won the game. If that didn't happen they lose the game bc he missed a free throw and still put up 40.

Aside from Smarts turnovers and poor play late in the game i think hes a very good role player and a glue guy for Boston

But i think the Celtics might want to find a better ball handler to be their starting point guard next year. I think they can only go so far with Smart at point

Im pondering over if they would have been better off if they still had Dennis. But i dont know, Theis is not the most skilled player but is high energy and will at least annoy the bigs on other teams. He gives them depth which they needed because of timelord often getting injured

The trade for White was a bad one, giving up a 1st round pick. Well it aint over yet but if the Celtics get finished off Friday im sure the Boston media will be scrutinizing those trade deadline deals
