I usually don't be responding in these threads just for the sake of sparing myself from arguing. But the late 80s and 90s was histrionically bad across the board, everywhere, with crime in every state. Violent crime is actually down (despite mass shootings going up), the only thing that has changed is our age/maturity, technology, the music and fashion. The actual root causes of crime has not (and honestly, will not) be solved just by locking people up randomly.

Also, just to shed some light on the DC issue (this is Federal data btw):

in 1989, the DC population was 604,000 total. There was 12,937 violent crimes committed.

in 2019, the DC population was 705,749 with 7,403 violent crimes committed.

Same goes for NYC, Chicago and other major cities.

Ok, and if sh1t does pop off, the Hispanics will have our back? GTFO.
