They used to stay hatin during that segment. I remember when they went to the audience after they premiered Akon - locked up. At the time no one knew who he was. Outside of givin SP his props, they was killing that song and Akon.

This.. To be honest people were getting tired of the formulaic Ja rule singles and 50 cent came along at the right time to diss him. ja rule by 2003 people were getting fatigue of hearing that same rinse and repeat formula he was putting out. Saying this he did drop a banger a few years later with R.Kelly that was fire.

Did you not hear the record? The vocals on the hook sounded off, and the mix was ass! Ja’s voice was too harsh for that sample and the snare sounded terrible.

the funniest one to me was that singer from chicago that looks like R.Kelly..i forgot his name. But he debuted a video and was there to get opinions and they all said it was garbage while he was there..

The sad part it was an actual good song but i think what was happening was ppl started to realize they can get ppl to talk if they start saying negative thing about the content.

How?

She literally said everything fifty said in that one interview and then on a mixtape.
She said almost exactly the way fifty did.

People just followers man

“Chick” and “kept it real” in the same sentence?

This was also true in part for the Meek/Drake and Kendrick/Drake beefs. While I personally still love Drake’s music, he had been slowly turning people off of his music for a long time. It started with the CLB cover and Girls Want Girls.

You can go earlier with the ghostwriting allegations or his Views/Scorpion type albums as when internet nerds turned on him
