I said before Will has been on the decline in Hollywood.

Stories like these dont help the reception of him choosing bad projects.

Will has worked with Bay for a long time; Bay helped make him the action star he is. If they could not see eye to eye, that's a really bad sign

Everybody knows Bay's style; it's more flash and less substance. He will probably end up getting another film thrown to him from Netflix.

Of course this thread has no context to increase "engagement". Articles I've seen say that Will wanted to focus on comedy and Michael wanted the movie's focus to be on the action. No more details have been given but this isn't too surprising.

Bay is consistent for better or worse, and I think Will is still trying to prove to the world he's a good guy so I can see him wanting to lean into comic bits to carry the movie.

Seeing as this is a Netflix movie, I'm surprised to see Michael Bay involved. The types of movies he does aren't cheap and Netflix doesn't seem willing to spend that type of cash on a single movie. Especially on a Will Smith movie they already put on hold for over 2 years because of the slap.
Bay did 6 Underground for Netflix. But the plot of this movie screams Michael Bay action. A crime boss living a double life as an agent would come off a little corny trying to be funny.

It is a known fact that Michael Bay is in fact the diva/dickhead! Treats his crews like $h!@! Pissed off a lot of people over the years. They just put up with his BS cause the Transformers franchise was printing money. After the dumpster fire that was his Netflix movie he’s only had one flick(which was made at a fraction of what he is used to).
Will is the coolest dude to work with on a movie set! Professional, treats everyone with respect and genuinely makes an effort to make the work environment pleasant! Smiths personal life is a different story in regards to the goofy $h!&, can’t argue there. Then again I don’t follow their personal lives, I’ll leave that to you Cris to cook.
