I'm not going to act like Master P was the most lyrical mothafu#ka to ever touch a microphone, but let's be clear-that n1gga could rap. It does seem like he got worse as time went on, but from a Southern 'reality rap' aspect, Master P used to go hard. If he didn't, there's no way n1ggas would have ever fu#ked with him, but we did and it wasn't just marketing. plus he used to bring alot of passion to his tracks, and you can't hate on that.

He had a big presence on all the no limit records

When he rapped on the songs, it made the songs seem bigger

You could tell he was the boss of all this sh1t

Yep, and he made sure to always hop on every artists' album, even if some of the other 'main' artists on the label didn't. Looking back one could argue this is how No Limit got stretched thin, but dude stayed in the studio.

I Got The Hook Up is a classic, and I'm Bout It kind of started off the straight to video hood movies and has a classic soundtrack, so nothing more needs to be said there. After that, his movies weren't great, but it is what it is.

The South has kept Hip-Hop alive the past 20 years. Pay homage.

You aren't far off

Aside from maybe a good 20 , southern rappers that could actually rhyme well wasn't really a thing.

Ehh he was okay... But when mystical was probably the only real artist besides c-murder before jail.... Silk the shocker couldn't stay on beat to save his life. Rest of the artist really ain't rememberable.
