And the way that he is making mental gymnastics with them knowing that it will make good tv but has no plans on furthering their careers smh.

Damn time flies since this aired over 20 years ago but I vaguely remember this episode besides the fact of how they infamously had to go walk for cheesecake.

And the last thing I'd wanna do is give Puff the benefit of the doubt but I think with this situation in particular, the walking was supposed to be a chance for them to get closer and build a stronger bond. Just like how a teacher or professor or a boss might have some wacky assignment or put the new people through a test unbeknown to them, I legit think this was one of those cases here.

I vaguely recall from that episode that Puff said something along the lines of him having to do stuff like that when he was an intern for Andre Harrell. And I believe it because I used to always hear about how insane Puff’s work ethic was as an intern. So I can sort of understand the method behind the madness in this instance.

Im sure Puff has done dehumanizing things to others throughout his career but I agree with you that this isn’t one of them.

If this happened during the tiktok ig world then yes.

But getting ahold of record label execs weren't an easy task at all in the early 2000s and people weren't just approaching you to hop on a song or commercial.

All of them tried their own thing slightly and most had to.move back to their states.
