According to the victims neighbors, they could hear him pleading with Johnson before 2 shots rang out.

Police found in the apartment a human torso in a blue bin and a head in a freezer.

Surveillance footage shows Johnson arriving at the apartment with the blue bin. He showed up multiple times in different outfits.

"Please don’t. I have a family!" the victim yelled according to neighbors before he was killed.

Johnson is a criminal justice activist and previously joined Joe Rogan on his podcast. He also appears to know District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

On the podcast, Johnson spoke out about his time in prison as he advocated for criminal justice reform. Johnson also spoke out about "changing his life around."

NEW YORK -- A Harlem man has been charged with murder after officers found dismembered body parts in his freezer.

Police took Sheldon Johnson, 48, into custody for questioning on Tuesday after performing a wellness check at a building on Summit Avenue in the Bronx, sources said.

Johnson was in the apartment when officers found a torso without a head or arms, police sources said.

Once Johnson was in custody for questioning, police obtained a search warrant for his apartment near East 112th Street and Fifth Avenue in Harlem.

Officers found the missing head and arms in a freezer there, according to police sources.
