Lot of reporting yesterday stated that he'd be out for three weeks. I'm sure that he's going to do everything he can to play every week--he won't want to miss a single game.

If i recall correctly, all of the money he gets over the franchise tag amount will only be paid if he hits a bunch of incentives.

- $303,000 for 1,300 rushing yards
- $303,000 for 11 touchdowns
- $303,000 for 65 catches,

(oh, and the Giants have to make the playoffs).

Can't hit any of those if he isn't playing. He was banking on staying healthy, something he doesn't do that often.
