Nas and Hit Boy an interesting pair
I myself am from Queens
And mainly listen to West Coast music
I'm from Boyle Heights, Cali and mostly listen to NY Hip Hop but West Coast is second though.
Pete rock, preemo, q tip, bink, roc Marci, super Mario, the hitmen, Dr period, statik selectah, rza, true master, Ali shaheed, and that's just off the top of my head

To be honest I never really liked Dre as a producer. He's good but he seems very over rated.
Timberland seems better as an all around producer rather than Dre

Dr. Dre arguably changed the sound of modern hip-hop three times, he has mentored and found the best sounds for four of the biggest rappers of all time. Producing is more than just programming a drum machine.
He's worth every bit of praise he's ever received as a producer, and any producer in any genre of music will tell you this.

The West Coast has better all around producers that are able to adapt to any style specifically the East Coast?
You have DJ Muggs with House of Pain and Soul Assassins.
Dr. Dre with Nas, The Firm, Jay Z, 50, Busta, Rakim, Eve, etc.
Alchemist with Mobb Deep and Hit-Boy with Nas.
Like all of those producers have compilations with those rappers too. It's not just a few collabs.

Can't forget Apollo Brown out of Detroit.
The man puts out miracles. I say to myself "Where is he pulling this stuff from?"
Nas and Apollo Brown need a album ASAP. I don't care if it's King's Disease 11 or 12. It's GOTTA happen lol.
