The West Coast has better all around producers that are able to adapt to any style specifically the East Coast?

You have DJ Muggs with House of Pain and Soul Assassins.

Dr. Dre with Nas, The Firm, Jay Z, 50, Busta, Rakim, Eve, etc.

Alchemist with Mobb Deep and Hit-Boy with Nas.

Like all of those producers have compilations with those rappers too. It's not just a few collabs.

To be honest I never really liked Dre as a producer. He's good but he seems very over rated.

Timberland seems better as an all around producer rather than Dre

All dope but I was comparing from an all around standpoint. Working with rappers from across the country. I forgot to mention Madlib and DOOM.

Premo from Texas
I don’t think all The Hitmen are from the East (could be wrong)

I would toss Havoc in there.

n1gga ain’t even post madlib….

Westcoast artists are local, producers out west experiment with other regions cause they don’t wanna limit themselves

Just look at Zaytoven and the South.

Dr. Dre arguably changed the sound of modern hip-hop three times, he has mentored and found the best sounds for four of the biggest rappers of all time. Producing is more than just programming a drum machine.

He's worth every bit of praise he's ever received as a producer, and any producer in any genre of music will tell you this.

Don't forget Large Pro, Digga, Ty Fyfee, Irv Gotti.. But Most of The Hitmen are from the south. Crazy they made some of the best ny beats ever though.

But on topic, the West got a certain funk and they like to be more creative with their sound. I respect West Coast producers alot for that.

At this point producers are from all over though. Hip hop has saturated the globe, and with the internet there really aren't many regional sounds, it's all a mosaic.

Can't forget Apollo Brown out of Detroit.

The man puts out miracles. I say to myself "Where is he pulling this stuff from?"

Nas and Apollo Brown need a album ASAP. I don't care if it's King's Disease 11 or 12. It's GOTTA happen lol.

Idk what he do but if you listen to the original sample n then listen to his version he makes that sh1t sound incredibly clean and professional

I felt the same way til I was watching one of those beat flip videos on YouTube and finally see what's the hype all about
