This is an unfinished demo that leaked.

Does that even count?

He does not even sound motivated in the song, even with finished lyrics it would be an unmotivated mess

As much as I love College Dropout, the New Workout Plan was absolutely atrocious

Maybe he didn't sound motivated because it was DEMO with plaholder vocals to nail melody.

Again, judging rough draft demo songs that weren't meant for release is like judging a mansion that consists only of studs and steel.

There are plenty of finished Kanye songs that are worthy of judgment. This isn't one of them.

Workout Plan was funny and catchy and the beat fu#king knocked.

Breathe Ik Breathe Out was the only mediocre song on College Dropout.

Imagine calling a clearly unfinished demo song an artists worst song

To your credit OP, this was pretty uninspired but it never finished nor got released for public consumption.

Kanye got some songs that have fell flat but this ain't one because it's not anything.

Idk why people hate breathe in breathe out. It wasn't a bad song, better than school spirit (that hook was bad) and workout plan

I always thought the BIBO beat was weak and repetitive.

Loved School Spirit. It was simple but really catchy and a perfect example of "old Kanye."

I should've clarified by saying "most," not all.

There are a scant few exceptions: Outkast and Big K.R.I.T. from your list.

Biggie, obviously, but he only released 2 albums. Dre has only released 3 in 30+ years, and there is mediocre filler all over the back half of 2001. Kanye has released 11 albums (most of them very good) in 15 years.

Kendrick's stuff pre-Section 80 was almost entirely forgettable/average.

Redman, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and Big Daddy Kane all released forgettable/weak albums in the back halves of their careers.

My point is that you'd be hard-pressed to find more than a handful of rappers who have a big enough discography where you wouldn't be able to cobble together an album's worth of sh1tty music. And Kanye West's hit-to-miss ratio is pretty good... most of the weak stuff he's made he's released in the past five years. He had an unbelievable batting average for the first 10 years of his career, which is when most rappers release their best stuff, anyway. Comparing his first decade to most every other rapper's firsts, and I'd probably take Ye in most situations.

First decade was legendary while the second half is filled “ghetto techno” type bad records especially in comparison to that first decade run.

I haven’t seen a Rapper with more consecutive duds on albums since Eminem.

Just because you didn't like doesn't mean it was a dud. There are lots of people who think Yeezus, Pablo and Donda are great albums.

I personally think Yeezus is a great album, and Pablo and Donda have moments of greatness mixed with filler.

There is nothing as lame and uninspired as Ghetto Techno on any Kanye album. In my opinion.
