fu#king sellout
I understand it from a $$$ standpoint but Colorado of all teams
If these reports are true i thinks it’s great. Prime went from being on NFL network to going to an HBCU and putting a national spotlight on them. I wouldn’t call him a sell out at all. Of course in a perfect world Prime would stay at JSU for 10 years and do great things at JSU but college athletics is and had always been a business. Just about every college coaches intent is to level up and get to bigger programs to be able to have better funding and a better streamline to recruiting to get better talent which brings more wins and more success. With that success comes more money and better opportunities to make more money. Cmon guys this is Prime Time, he had a song called “Must be the Money”, did you really expect Prime not to level up?

I never believed Prime could be the one to single handily bring HBCUs to prominence, he’s just 1 big name coaching there and he’s just a new coach. The fact remains that young top prospect who are going to make it to the NFL want to go to big division 1 programs to be able to make a name for themselves vs the other elite talent to improve their draft stock and potentially make it in the league to make big money. It’s a trickle down effect. Now Prime with his star power and name and credentials can recruit the best black talent in the entire country at a good historical division 1 program. Now he has more available options to succeed as a coach. I’m sure after Colorado if he’s successful he will eventually take his dream job Florida State if it becomes available in the future. Even if Prime stayed at JSU it would not make players want to go play at HBCUs but only JSU so now prime has all the talent vs inferior HBCU football programs. In business and your career you need to strike while the irons hot and prime did that. I hope he is successful at CO. Can’t wait to see what he can do in Div 1.
