1. If Jesus is just a man, how can He forgive people for their sins (an authority that only God has)?
Luke 7:48, Mark 2:5
2. Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the s3xually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star. - Revelation 22:12-16
3. If Jesus never claimed to be God, for what reason did the Pharisees kill him?
"The jews answered him, It is not for a good work that we are going to stone you but for blasphemy, because you, being a man, make yourself God. - John 10:33
4. "Sons of god" can refer to righteous persons (like in Romans 8:14, Romans 8:19, Galatians 3:26, Matthew 5:9), but it also (in a different context) clearly refers to angels (like in Job 2:1, Job 38:7, Job 1:6, and of course Genesis 6:2). Unless of course your contention is that Job was describing human beings assembly before the throne of God in heaven.
5. If OT scripture states that each person will die for their own sin and that they can't atone for another's wrongdoing, by what authority can Jesus claim to die for others sins if He's just a man? (Deuteronomy 24:16, Ezekiel 18:20, Jeremiah 31:29-30)
6. You claim that "I Am" isn't a name and then state that "Yahwa" is His real name, yet don't realize that "Yahwa" is simply a transliteration of the tetragrammaton "YHWH" which is literally the first person singular for the Hebrew verb "to be" (which of course is "I am").
1. I agree with you that only God can forgive..but you read the verse through Trinity lenses. Read it again. Jesus never says "I forgive you" Jesus just notifies them that they are forgiven by God.
He says "your sins are forgiven.
Same thing happened with our Prophet Muhammad. He had 10 close companions similar to disciples.
Muhammad tells them "you will all go to Heaven, your sins are forgiven".
This doesn't make Muhammad god.
Muhammad is not doing the forgiving but just informing them what God revealed to him.
He, like Jesus is a messenger delivering the messagGod.
2. The alpha and omega in revelation is a dream, you do know that?
The whole thing is a vision of John the Apostle.
Just a dream.
I don't care what someone seen in a dream.
That means nothing.
So you're telling me Jesus preached for 2.5 years and never said this big important verse while he was alive?
Only tells someone in a revision?
3. I already went over the Pharisees wanting to kill him. The reason is Jesus was calling them out for their hypocrisy and the were exchanging money in the temples.
Jesus kept warning them until Jesus was so fed up the started yelling and flipping their money tables. That's when the jews went to the romans to have him killed.
They were trying anything to kill him.
They even called him demon possessed.
So are you now gonna say just because Pharisees said it, it's true.
I already explained the very next verse after the one you quoted. Jesus tells them plainly that "all I said is I am the son of God".
Guess what, the jews automatically knew what he meant and they dropped the stones.
If Jesus was God this woulda been the perfect time to say "yes, I am God".
But Jesus rebukes them.
4. There are "tons of sons" of God in the bible. Many prophets called son of god.
Because the jews used to refer to God as "Abba" meaning father.
Because God looks after us, protects us and provides for us.
A son of God to the jews meant a righteous person..
Never ever did son of God mean literally.
That's when the Romans came and took it for face value.
Thats why the divinity of Jesus was still being debated until council of Nicea in 325AD.
ALL IM SAYING JESUS BEING CALLED THE SON HAS ZERO IMPLICATIONS OF DIVINITY.
5. You said it perfectly. No man can die for another man's sins. So if Jesus did it that means he's God.
If Jesus did do it then that means God died.
But your gonna say what the church taught you that Jesus was fully human and fully God and it was his humanity that died.
That's what the church teaches.
So his humanity died?
Human death equals human sacrifice.
6. What fascinates me so much is when Christians take the Hebrew Torah revealed to the children of Isreal, in their native tongue and translate it for them.
The church taught you that the jews got their own book wrong.
Their prophets incorrectly taught them and the church came to correct them.
Are you kidding me?
Reason I say that is not a single jew in the history, the last 3,000 years ever believed the I am in Exodus is a name of God.
Not even a single.
It's their language, taught to them for 1,000s of years and they will all tell you the "I Am who I am" in that verse is a REFERENCE to God and NOT A NAME of God.
Paul says "I AM" in the bible.
Does that mean he's claiming divinity
A homeless blind man says "I AM", doesn't mean he's claiming divinity.
Did you look up why it was illegal to read own a Bible until 500 years ago.
Did you look up why every baptism in the bible is done "in the name of Jesus" and not "in the name of the father, son, and holy spirit".
By the way even if Jesus did say it, which he didn't, that doesn't make them one.
If I say I did something "in the name trump' Biden and putin" that doesn't make them one.
Same with Jesus statement if he said it
