We like authentic mcs right? Well if you come from a 2 parent home and was well taken care of why be ashamed of making a record honoring them for what they did for you? If i raised my kid right and hes rapping about poverty and the rats and roaches running around the house im taking it as a diss record
True indeed

Minus all the videos, mixtapes and promotional flyers

Any examples, of fancy raps?
You never heard Jadakiss rap??? His sh1t is filled with punchlines. Then you have rappers that load up on internal rhymes, compound (multisyllabic) rhymes, etc. Ain't too many rough necks doing all that. It's not rare at all for them to have whole entire songs without a punchline, let alone use an intricate rhyme schemes.

Most of the gang bangers and successful jail birds rarely do any of that (Mac 10, DJ Quick, Jim Jones, DMX, Mystikal, BG, Pimp C, Lil Boosie, Shyne, C-Murder, Durk, Lil Baby, YoungBoy, etc). Some of them might have great deliveries because of their voice and charisma (like DMX, and Mystikal), but they wasn't really on no fancy rappin sh1t.

We've heard stories on the differences between two blood brothers- Nas and Jungle's childhoods and they clearly don't rap the same. It's likely because one of them was really with the sh1ts. Those type of people are less likely to give a sh1t about rippin a mic. Sure, there's some exceptions, but they are just exceptions. Real street n1ggas don't give a sh1t about being called top 5. They want you to know they the realest.

Once again, it's not a diss or a compliment. It's just an objective observation. People that were seriously on that street sh1t rarely give a rat's a$s about being nice on the mic or putting any serious effort into their pen game. When I hear someone rappin fancy, I automatically doubt they ever had anyone shook in the streets.

Ghostface killah and Raekwon and Big Pun are the exception to this. Rap fancy and really were in the streets. I generally agree though

I love Jada
But all this “n1ggas in the hood have two parents but still choose to be there” this is false

I was born and raised in the bronx
Used to break into abandoned homes or empty apartment units that I would notice aimlessly walking the streets
My friends were in group homes, they all had a dozen or more siblings
their parents were crack heads or dead
We slept on trains or said bandos

I knew everyone outside
Everyone outside knew me
I had credit at the bodegas
Anyone who had both parents did not stay outside with me after a certain time
They didn’t have credit at the bodegas
They didn’t bring me around their real friends unless they needed drugs or to look cool in a “street” way

Jada is a great actor
It doesnt take away from his talent just because he didn’t have to deal with being a street guy

Street guys usually die or stay in prison
Damn bro

Where the fu#k where your parents?

And what era was this ?

Having no two parents and going to private school don’t mean you can’t be street

People in the hood have both parents at home and there parents send them to private school
But they stay in the hood so they do hood rat things
I grew up in the Suburbs and knew people like that if your around bad influences you can still get caught up in the streets.

Jada never rapped about being poor. And your parents caring enough or affording the opportunity to send you to a decent school has nothing to do with embracing the streets or the streets embracing you. The n1ggas was still in Yonkers. You can tell from their integrity and character that they had good parents. What are we talking about

He’s on a life and career stage where he can be more open and it won’t have an effect. I can only imagine this coming out when he was beefing with Beans tho, would have been game over
beans goons didn't love em

jada exposed to his gang he risked his living to be with them just like ray j did in cali.

It's stupid but very stupidly noble and it's a unique street currency to exchange ya rich life for the street life and never fold. Jada did that and many others.

point is beans woulda lost in the streets jada was connected heavy in nyc and philly needed nyc at the time vice versa.

To me, the studio gangsters are the smart ones. They know how to play a role in order to make money without necessarily putting themselves in harm's way....unless they surround themselves with that element. No knock on Kiss or others like him. They're smart.

His mom was a teacher he said it in the source. All three of them graduated from hs enrolled into local college. Yeah his mom came from Africa but she was able to get educated/become gainfully employed.
Teachers don't make alot of money though. Criminals come from all socioeconomic backgrounds anyway. I come from a 2 parent home but my pops was from The Boot and them n1ggaz are different lol. He had a teucking company amd made alot of money at times. Other times sh1t got slow and he was selling drugs. My grandmother was in my household too. She taught me and all of my cousins how to shoot guns at like 7 years old. Texas is different bro. Rich white people have full artillery displayed like art in their homes. Everybody is strapped down here. It has nothing to do with being a "gangster."

This

I had an older cousin that I looked up to a lot when k was young. Was slightly jealous of homie because of the crib in the burbs, 2 parent household, anything he ever wanted.
But as he got older, was in the streets waaaaaaaaay more than any of us was. To be honest I was a walking D.A.R.E commercial compared to him. So the notion that because you have a 2 parent household doesn’t mean sh1t. You decided your own life. Has nothing to do with what your family could provide for you.
People don't think about the actual dynamics of the particular 2 parent home. Alot of n1ggaz still see pure dysfunctional in that 2 parent home. Pops could be beating the sh1t out of their mom. Mfs could be on drugs. People lose jobs or have a business go belly up and have to turn to alternative means to maintain the lifestyle they live.

I never believed Jada to be a super thug or anything like that but one thing I do know is you gotta be on point growing up in Yonkers and that cat wouldn’t get the respect he does if he ain’t have the credibility to go with it.
