I am not sure I can remember a team losing this many players to injuries before. I know the Astros and Dodgers haven't had a lot of pitchers this year but the Braves have lost
Strider in April (after 2 starts) for the season
Acuna in May (after 50 games) for the season
Harris missed 53 games this year (so far)
Albies has missed 34 games this year (so far) and is going to miss at least another 4 to 5 weeks and probably won't be the same after
Murphy missed 50 games and has not looked the same since coming back
Riley is going to miss 6 to 8 weeks and probably won't be the same immediately after.
Fried missed time this year. d'Arnaud missed time this year. Soler has missed games since joining the team. Merrifield was injured before playing a single game (he wasn't out long). Reynaldo López has missed games. AJ Minter has missed games. Ray Kerr has missed games. AJ Smith-Shawver came up and then got injured. Hurston Waldrep came up and then missed games too.
I think since the beginning of the season, the Braves haven't gone more than 2 weeks without an injury and some of them have been pretty long.
If they make the playoffs this year, I think it'll be one of the best coaching jobs by Snitker in a while
