Time? If you're a whole generation behind that's your fault. You've had plenty of "time" to get your sh1t together. Furthermore, how the fu#k are you gonna be on section 8 and not take advantage of the numerous resources available like grants for education? It's not like they were paying any meaningful rent so they should have been hitting the books especially since most people's biggest expense is rent which means they had more time to study since they didn't need to use that time to work to pay for rent. But since you wanna go there, descendants of slaves have had over 150 years to get their sh1t together. People fresh out of slavery had little to no education, no money, no resources and yet they had entire towns full of prosperity. The government came through in the 60s and started handing out free sh1t and now everybody wants to talk about how they need time to adjust. fu#k that.
I wasn't gonna comment because I understand both sides of the argument being an independent. Both have valid points, but at the same time both sides have lengths of extremism they want to explore to push their points...however your comment is one of the most ignorant I've seen. I say ignorant not dumb because it lacks knowledge and or context. You say descendants of American Chattel slavery had 150 years to get their sh1t together as if the playing field was equal to begin with. 150 years AFTER the counterparts had a 400 year HEAD START WITH FREE LABOR!!!! Not to mention even if you dismiss the American chattel slavery portion of it you still had Jim crow, redlining,,the Tuskegee experiment police brutality, the Klan who oh BTW isn't deemed all that bad and they want to raise their confederate statues again, yet label malcom and the black panther party as terrorists....oh and lets talk about your asinine comment of Black people not having anything but building wealth....you do realize the same jealous a$s white folks who couldn't stand to see black people winning destroyed their sh1t without giving any compensation to the families or descendants many of which still live to this day, but you know who did get reparations? American chattel slave owners, holocaust survivors, Japanese due to the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, out of all the groups of people you know who didn't, AMERICAN BLACKS! And if you're thinking oh it was just one bad isolated incident in Tulsa, let me enlighten you again:
1. Tulsa-1921
2. Rosewood-1923
3. Wilmington- 1898
4. East St. Louis - 1917
5. Illinois race riot- 1919
6. Detroit- 1943
7. Vienna Illinois- 1954
8. Sheridan Arkansas- 1954
9. Philly-1985
10. Charleston-2015
*sn I use the verbiage American chattel slavery because over the years people use slavery so loosely to water it down and equate it to indentured servitude to the point you have a sitting president talking about there were good parts of it, and mfkers actually agree with him....foh! How people make fun of people for not having a father in their life people need to do that with ancestors I can tell people ain't never had a great grand mother or grandfather in their lives at a point because if they did and they listened to their stories or saw the look on their faces of some of the stories they refused to share they'd $TFU with some of the dumb a$s sh1t they say.....I saw on that video the other day that KOON a$s FOOL a$s LIL a$s BOY said he didn't think redlining was real, I would've been like talk to my pops...and if my great grandma would've still been alive you could've spoke with her, and how they damn sure forced them into certain parts of Louisiana....
