When KD turned his nose up at the Wizards, that's when I officially started looking at yo sideways. The warriors move was one thing, but bruh aint wanna go back home like the sh1t was beneath him. i'm not from DMV, I'm from baltimore but it still close enough to feel some type of way about it. so no I don't feel bad for him on everything that has happened since leaving the warriors
To be honest I am from the dmv and I don’t feel a way about it. Mf out here are selfish and entitled like sh1t. He would have had people reaching out constantly because all they neee to be a millionaire is another 5k… or because this time the plan going work etc etc He really just wants to play without the hassle and the other part of it is that the wizards have never shown they are a competent organization. They have only not been criticized as much because people here care about football so the focus was on the commanders being a sh1t show

I do get what u mean thought and u can count as dmv for basketball Brodie I take liberties and claim Tank

And before y’all n1ggas start talking about Draymond suspension or Bogut injury, they had the unanimous 2 time MVP who couldn’t even get them 1 win to close the series.
My phone bogus as hell, I didn’t mean to prop this, I do not agree with this take or your previous statement either.

Dat n1gga has made himself homeless.
His OKC era is damn near forgotten.
His Momma gets more respect than him in the DMV.
And Golden State never respected him.

The most hilarious thing about threads like this is you got a bunch of 9-5 workers in here calling a legit legend a failure meanwhile that n1gga is currently playing in a series against a future legend(Ant Man) who called him his GOAT and earlier this season another future legend who's projected to one day be on that GOAT level (Wimby) broke into tears after his first time they played because dude was his idol......

I’d have rather seen the Wizards give him the exact BK situation and it backfire in 2-3 years over the bullsh1t they continue to do. I was too young for the Jordan Era in DC to understand the background stuff going on leading to it failing, but the Wizards gotta do something to show they serious as a franchise. If it fails it fails, but at least try it with the biggest star out the DMV.

How is he a failure? Compared to who? The reality is he should’ve never been compared to LeBron in the first place cause you looking at him like his game is designed to be in that Top 5 players of All Time mix.

KD always been a silent assassin, & Golden State showed what happens when he sell his skills as a killer that he’s unstoppable in THAT role. He thought Kyrie & Booker would allow him to play that same role again as the clean up man but they can’t do it consistently and the rosters aren’t deep enough to win games when both guys don’t have big games.
Relax he could be compared to bron i really dont get yall obsession with lbj he overrated and the media manufactured his greatness he good but should never be compared to mj

OKC was supposed to be a super team but ownership was cheap AF

Imagine having James fu#king Harden down to be Manu Ginobli as long as you pay him 18mil per or whatever it was and losing him over minimal money...

KD is just like Deon Sanders.

He's a free agent killer

No one ever said "Primetime's teams" he was an excellent player on someone else's teams.

I also don't think KD cares. I think KD looks for the best opportunity to play basketball the way he wants to play it because careers are short and he enjoys it

*Edit* I'm not a KD fan, but he doesn't seem legacy obsessed like other great players

You just proved what I said....

In what world is a hall of fame career that includes basically every award you can possibly win and more money made in wages than 90% of ALL players that have EVER played a "failure"?!?!

Y'all think these n1ggas are "failures" just because they didn't do exactly what a bunch of burger flippers, telemarketers, janitors and factory workers think they should've done?!?! n1ggas are warped bruh

Thanks for letting me know this.

I was confused why they keep showing that “LeBron James” guy on TV for 20 years. It doesn’t make sense. He’s clearly a bum.

He doesn’t know how elevate a team as the leader. Great player but he likes to go along for the ride. The bus driver analogy everyone keeps using. Look at every stop besides Golden State, and lie say you don’t see a pattern?

KD robbed us of competitive Finals between Cavs-GSW for years to come.
I agree. GSW vs The Cavs could've been like the Lakers vs Celtics in the 80's if KD didn't join Golden State.

GSW was up 3-1 on Cleveland and it took for help from the refs for the Cavs to make that comeback in that series.

GSW did not need KD to join that squad in order to beat the Cavs. When KD joined GSW, Cleveland barely won one game in the following two finals.

The craziest thing about that situation is that keeping Harden would've cost OKC only an extra mil per year or something like that.

Hindsight is 20/20, but I think OKC's front office should've known Harden was going to be a special player and that replacing him with Kevin Martin was dumb as hell.

GSW showed us that paying the luxury tax is worth it if you have a sure thing.

I don't know why people are surprised by KD.

emoji

This isn't some new revelation. KD is a great player. No doubt about it! I've watched him since he balled at Texas.

emoji

But even then, KD was a scorer. He wasn't a leader per se'. KD is a nice addition to any team that already has a structure in place that his skill sets can easily fit into.

However, he's not someone to bring in with the hope of leading the team both physically and mentally and there's nothing wrong with that.

I don't think he's a failure by any stretch because he's still a great player. He has a championship and a lot of things that have happened in his career, mainly with Brooklyn, were out of his control.

emoji

Cats move around to better their chances. I think a lot of hate is thrown at KD because he recognizes his lane and stays in it. He's never said he wanted to be a leader. He's said he wants to win.

While I don't necessarily like the whole jumping from team-to-team thing, I do understand it.

The team owners show no loyalty to their players and will trade them without so much as a courtesy phone call to let them know. Hell, one cat said he didn't even know he was being traded until a friend told him while he was driving from practice.

emoji

That's nasty work. The cat was literally at the facility and none of the higher ups said sh1t to him.
