Rent is overpriced everywhere. All the landlords are getting over. Then you gotta make 3 times the monthly rent so people either gonna need roommates or start making bank. But the price is increasing in areas where opportunities to make a certain amount of bread aren’t located. Something will give for the people though. I just don’t have an answer in my mind.

I used to be a landlord. I kept my rent the same for my tenants for years. They didn’t want to leave. Just take care of my sh1t. I know it’s tempting to do the money grab with everything going up. But I doubt I would do that sh1t if I still had my two properties now. Not anything stupid. Just isn’t in me.
And they wonder why the job market is so sh1tty, people are leaving their jobs to become entrepreneurs and I don't blame them.

I thank God that any crib I lived in nyc never had pests.

I was about to get a nice apartment in Jackson Heights for the low. Did the whole inspection and wanted to look just one more time. The landlord swept a mouse behind the garbage and I called him out on it.

Landlords are failing NYC. I blame the Mayors of the last two decades. Other areas tax you in other ways(needing a car, property taxes, etc), but rent is too damn high and it's not all from demand.
