Old head perspective
As someone who's been around for a bit and watched basketball for decades, I can agree with the viewpoint that Kobe was a problem teammate.
I'd watched some of the past games of how he blatantly disrespecting his supporting cast. Sometimes it was physical stuff in practice with unexpected shoves or elbows. Other times it was petty stuff like making a player get out of a seat that he wanted.
While I understand that there's a pecking order in sports, I never understood how grown men would allow themselves to be treated with disrespect.
I'm a person who gives the same respect to the janitor as I would the CEO. Respect is respect. Playful banter is one thing. a$$hole disrespect is another. Kobe exuded the latter at times.
The disrespect towards Shaq, who'd given them 3 chips was just crazy. Kobe would only have 2 rings if it wasn't for Shaq. So, to come out and call him lazy and fat was a low blow in my opinion.
Kobe definitely made his mark in the NBA as a great player. Nevertheless, he also solidified a reputation of being a prima donna teammate that made his teams worse rather than better.
Kobe stans used to be the most cancerous fanbase in sports during the height of the Lebron vs Kobe debate until it no longer became a debate. Now LeBron's d1ck eating fans like me took the mantle.
Bro spent his washed years chucking shots he no longer had the legs to make instead of playing point and setting up his young teammates for success lakers had a nice young core that had to just watch Kobe chuck bricks
I know he’s basketball Jesus so you can’t say that but whatever
Kobe didn't have Jordan's competitive spirit.
the same people screaming mamba mentality
Jordan was the last real basketball player. League turned to a 3pt contest when he left and is unwatchable 95% of the time
Kobe was a rapist and a piece of sh1t to his parents.
Imagine NFL with just screen plays or MLB with bunts cause analytics told you that's the best way to win. Trash a$s product
Not shocked at all Kobe was a selfish dude literally watched him choked a playoff game because his coach lightly critiqued him, he run Shaq out of town, Mamba mentality my a$s dude was a selfish overrated player
Kobe single handedly ruined Dwight Howard's career and bi#ch a$s n1ggas be scared to say it. The sole reason he wasn't a top 75 player. n1ggas talk bout everything else but that bi#ch a$s sh1t he did with the media and turn on Dwight
Kobe isn't no damn basketball Jesus.
Kobe never once shot 50% from the field in the regular season or the playoffs.
Kobe shot 41.2 percent from the field in the NBA Finals in his career.
Kobe isn't even in the Top 10 in PPG in the regular season, playoffs or the NBA Finals.
Exactly
…
Dwight did that to himself
n1gga thought he was Hakeem olajuwon and he was really Tyson Chandler like kobe said
It's 2025. And he's dead. If you don't know by now, you don't want to know. Keep the lying legacy alive tho
Starting to feel like this is a coordinated attack.
You’re just a hater my guy. Like I said you only thing you can provide is salt
…
Be honest, you’re asian or mexican, right?
The same Kobe who got swept by JJ Barea and the Dallas Mavericks despite having home court advantage.
