There was a guy who had a supercharged Mustang and Challenger SRT that used to post illegal street racing videos of him beating different cars while in "Mexico". One day all of the videos just vanished. Loads of videos where he made guys cars look slow. He said them people came for his a$s and he had to remove the videos/evidence.

MKBHD posting one video of him going past the speed limit opens him up to some trouble since he didnt blur out his odometer. Thats the one thing illegal street racers do to obscure the facts about them breaking any laws. Its only one video, but you already know the internet loves making something bigger than it is, because misery loves company. Especially since hes black, you know the racists want him canceled for any slip up.

Answer - He launched a Wallpaper App called "Panels" he bought from someone else then turned around and started charging at $11.99 monthly or $49.99 annually for sh1t that already existed. The app was absolute bullsh1t

I mean charging a subscription for his wallpaper app, where you could get solid colors was a rip. I didn't take a look at the permissions the app requires. As someone who reviews tech for a living, he should have known how much people would bi#ch about it. Damned if you damned if you don't. Our data gets used for everything, there's no hiding it.

As far as the speeding, he's not the only car reviewer that does this let's be real. People think it's a school crossing area sign but it's a kids at play. Not that that's any better but let's not act like it's not happ5on other channels.

He's spent years grandstanding about only wanting to provide the best experience to his fan base and wouldn't just slap his name on something --- then he releases a fu#king paid wallpaper app

Spent years railing against sponsored videos and saying he wouldn't make a full sponsored video -- only to seek out for a DJI camera

This is all normal creator sh1t but he spent YEARSSSS saying he wouldn't do these very specific things from a seemingly moral standpoint only to do both in like 3 months.

I’ve been saying it for years. I was a fan of MKBHD since he was making videos in his dorm. But he’s a major sellout and borderline grifter for how he turned on Tesla once it was trendy on Reddit to hate Elon.

Not to mention that he his office is in Jersey, which is adjacent to the most diverse city in the world (NYC)… But he somehow has an all-white staff. Wtf? Not even a Dominican or something? A Puerto Rican perhaps?

Marques claims to be fair and impartial, but the way he went from being a complete Tesla fanboy to an Elon hater, while simultaneously picking apart any issue with Tesla vehicles rubbed me the wrong way.

But I’m not too pressed. I stopped watching his videos a while ago. I’m guessing he will remain Reddit’s “golden boy”, but seeing people finally call him out makes me feel vindicated.
