It’s funny cause I understand exactly what you both are saying.
I agree in a way. With both of you.
Coles had the better verse from a lyrical and dope standpoint.
But coles rhymes don’t really hit like bennys do.
IMO. Cole is a nice rapper. But his delivery and flow I think has held him back in a way where we know he is nice but I still feel like he is over looked.
It’s hard to explain cause Cole gets respect but people just fu#k with the butchers style more.
I think people have put Cole in what used to be the backpacker vibe. Like
Common , mosdef, talib etc.. some of the nicest mcs of their era but they didn’t get the same love as other less skilled but more polarizing

This is exactly how i feel, Lets keep it all the way a buck he aint fu#king with Benny or most underground NY rappers ie; eto etc. In terms of commercial success he's bland and a one trick pony imho.

Benny is overated as hell the way people hype him up. Dude is a good rapper but stop acting like he levels above Cole and I don't put Cole that high on lyrical ability.

Benny and Cole are a few tiers below Royce 5'9, jadakiss, banks who are nowhere near touching goat level lyricist like Nas, Lupe, Jay-Z, Black thought

And I actually like Benny, Conway and Cole.
