We would've moved him this offseason if we could no one is biting. The only way we can move him is if we take a bad contract back or he's included as a filler. Right now shooters come a dime a dozen just look at the celtics C team we just played.
Moved him for what though? The team needs is trying to decide if what they have is enough or if there's a certain area they need to step up. By the trade deadline it's going to be clear if this team has the makings of a potential contender and what our biggest need is. Do we keep Randle? Do we give up on RJ? Once they make that decision they'll move him. If Fournier gets back into an offensive groove and gets consistent playing time he's going to up his value.
what do you mean move him for what? They would've loved to trade back into the first rd last draft. He sat on the bench for a whole season and didn't play making close to 20 mill then complained to the media that the coach must have something against him. We didnt even use him when we couldn't score in the playoffs or down the stretch. Consistent playing time where? Fournier will only play if someone gets hurt and the starters will continue to log the bulk of the mins. To think Fournier has value and is anything more than a cap filler in a deal right now with no pathway for PT is kind of far fetched.
As you said nobody was moving a first for him. And there wasn't a player who filled a position of need for us.
That's the real issue, we're good at a lot of positions but not great at any. Not even at guard where we probably have the most talent. We need to make a decision on the direction we want to go in to go to the next level. Outside of Embiid, I don't know of any player who can take us to that next level, so standing pat and just growing internally seems to be the best bet.
Him being mad on the bench is understandable, especially after earning big money, having a good year shooting then sitting out before his last big contract. There's not much he can do but complain.
Fournier is cap bait, period, and cap bait, especially now with this new CBA is valuable. I don't see it getting us a first. Maybe a late one from a team in need of shooting at the trade deadline. His role would be cap filler in a big deal. Which is fine. That's valuable too because it keeps us from giving up too much to make salaries work.
Thibs giving him playing time would just be to advertise to teams in need of cap space relief that he still is capable of putting up numbers.
Knicks front office has been satisfactory these past 3 years. I like the steady build up. I have no complaints like most Knicks fans that take it too far.
There's a bunch of armchair coach fans like CP the Fanchise that I avoid. He was cool at first but last season I got turned off by him with his constant Donovon Mitchell suggestions and Julius Randle hate.
Last year I called him out for his fakeness. Made a thread about it in realgm. Posters came at me but they slowy relized i was right about Knicks doing good last year before the season started. Many Knicks fans are impatient and short-sighted. Especially the old Knicks fans

Bro that's why I have the majority of the posters in this thread blocked
Who has time for the silly sh1t?
This front office isn't perfect. Truth be told we could have done better draft wise (Haliburton should have been the pick over Obi)
Just for example
But... Trading the farm for insert star player has never worked for us. It hardly works for anyone.
At some point and time, we have to hit and hit big on a draft pick, no matter where we pick.
That's the key, In my humble uneducated opinion.
Also, CP The Franchise is a herb.

Low Key they can sign Kai and get him the help he need in Westchester
Sign Kai?
Nah I'm good
Even though I think that bullsh1t list placed a few of our guys way too low , having 6 players in the top 100 is nothing to sneeze at.
