Knicks is in a weird situation here, but we’ll see how it goes. At this point, if he’s willing to play once the injury is better, you sit him out until the playoffs. If he doesn’t play for the rest of the year, he’s a UFA at the end of the season. They’ll have no choice, but to pay him. OG’s problem was staying on the court in Toronto, but you have to gamble now or lose him, and have to hear about the young talent you traded away for a rental. Knew something was wrong when he yelled in portland after coming down trying to get a rebound. Hope the injury isn’t season ending.
Everyone will be magically healthy in playoffs and develop team chemistry on the fly

In my opinion he should have never had surgery on that elbow and done some physical therapy instead. I had a feeling this would happen, everyone i know that ever had elbow or knee surgery says they still have the pain and regret the surgery

Knicks communication has always been curated through Dolan via the front office, nothings changed on that front.
How much more information do you expect? He had the surgery to remove the bone fragment, and now after pushing through a couple of games where he obviously was in pain, they're letting him rest to get his elbow in a better place before the playoffs. If it's any worse, they'll let us know. He shouldn't have played in that Kings game, although we probably wouldn't have won without him.
nah nah , knicks communication has never been like this where we are legit confused about what is going on with injuries . the extent of bad communication has always only been the front office not being allowed to talk to the press thats it. the dude is screaming on the court in pain so loud that you can hear it threw the broadcast on tv and we are scratching our heads like he is alright? then comes out next game and is fine ,wake up to him being ruled out and then later that day ruled out for multiple games . if you think thats nothing to be alarmed of your fu#king smoking . not being able to trust injury reports is a big fu#king problem my guy.
This is the first year that we've had a good team and significant injuries in a long time. But knicks media communication has not been any different than it ever has.
What do you expect Dolan to want to communicate about other then what we all already know. We actually have OGs entire elbow injury saga on camera. On MSG they showed him in warm-ups the day of the game where he went into his shooting motion and the bone must have chipped off. We learned the extent of the injury within three days. We clearly can tell OG rushed to come back and is playing through pain. We saw he definitely was in pain in Portland, and wasn't him.self in Sacramento, resting indefinitely before the playoffs makes sense. We can all physically see that, what do you actually need them to release to the press? He'll play when he's healthy.
Coming back from surgery, to your elbow, as a basketball player, might take a while to get back to 100% especially if you aren't fully healed and aggravate the injury. No point in making public announcements before you have all the facts.
