i put this in the sports betting thread by accident...

the anime "Hajime no Ippo" is so real..

i just finished watching it on Netflix, and especially after seeing THIS fight.. that anime was fantasticly done.. the aftermath of fighting a champion is showing on Khalil's face, and that anime captures that perfectly..

if u want to see really good storytelling, i suggest y'all check it out..

He should fire his corner.
They should have thrown the towel in 2
minutes before it was stopped. The referee
should also be reviewed.

Aspinall is to big & skilled
I think that's where Alex would be very vulnerable

The top of the top HWs are legit NFL defensive ends from a size standpoint and many of them have some speed agility athleticism that could match up against Poatan's striking arsenal

And once he gets sent to the ground it would be a different ballgame

If Alex is smart he'll stay @ LHW he'd have to get waaaay bigger/embark on some extensive wrestling training for some years before even seriously considering challenging for the title at HW

He’s bigger than Jones was when he was at 205. Jones was tall but skinny, this dude looks menacing

Alex is already 37. Earliest I could see him ready for Heavyweight is 40, but thankfully heavier guys can compete a bit longer than the smaller guys

Maybe he can challenge someone at Hwy that’s a striker if they win. But he shouldn’t campaign there

Rountree would’ve won if it weren’t for those cuts on his face. Perrera has a lot of obvious holes in his game — e.g. overzealous in exchanges, lets his guard down entirely when he goes for the kill, doesn’t operate as effectively fighting a
southpaw

But Perrera really has a presence about him that I know fighters feel and it makes them fight extremely cautiously.

Rountree’s a true threat in the division and lest we forget that Rountree was actually up 2-1 on the scorecards before he got finished.

Rountree had the right idea in looking for counters whenever Perrera would throw a calf kick or was feinting a high kick.

In the beginning of the 3rd round — maybe first 2 minutes — Perrerra actually seemed to be a bit clueless as to what to do to take Rountree out.

But then Rountree started to gas from relying on counter blitzes and the rest was downhill after that.

For the record, I thought this was going to be over in the first 3 minutes of round 1 with Rountree taking a “let’s get this over with” and charge blindly into a firefight with Perrerra until he got left hooked.

But nawe; dawg was really in it for the long haul and dropped Perrera twice and had him hurt a lot during the fight.

I know people are just gonna glaze Perrerra but I think people really need to rewatch the fight and see how well Rountree was doing and had Perrerra perplexed for just a brief moment.

Yea I agree. Whether it was patience or confusing, a few times Poatan looked stalled
