The Rangers are fu#king horrible

it doesn't help that literally every starting pitcher is injured (Scherzer, DeGrom, Eovaldi, Gray, Mahle and now Urena who has been starting, and Lorenzen just left with an injury), but the offense is downright horrible not scoring over 4 runs the last 15 games straight.

Mlb should be embarrassed

Steroid era remains GOATED. That 95-2003 era of baseball was phenomenal entertainment. Old geezers and babies ruined the game. Pitchers would’ve eventually adjusted (juice themselves + spider tac), monsters would’ve still been hitting dingers (imagine juiced Soto and Judge). Baseball over corrected to the extreme and it cost them, it’s how the NBA took over the #2 spot behind football.

It's how what happened? First, college football is #2. Second, the NBA is constantly moving between #3 and #4 with baseball. I know Boxden thinks the NBA is the most popular sport in America but the TV ratings disagree.

So far, the NBA playoffs are averaging 3.77 million viewers per game. The Boston/Indy game 2 saw 5.64 million people watching the game. And, the Minny/Dallas games have averaged 6.85 million people.

And when you look at the Finals vs World Series it is close and they often flipflop in terms of #3 vs #4

2023 Finals: Averaged around 11 million people watching
2023 World Series: Averaged around 9 million people watching

The 2022 Finals vs World Series were about even. The 2021 World Series beat the Finals in ratings. The 2020 World Series beat the 2020 Finals. The 2019 Finals beat the 2019 World Series.

If the Yankees and Dodgers ever play in the World Series again and it went 7 games, I assume it would be a very highly rated World Series. Probably 25+ million viewers
