I'm on round 5, that early knockdown hurt him mentally. He came out that next round, fighting out of anger, instead of just fighting with strategy. Kambosos kept his cool after the knockdown. He just kept on fighting knowing it was still 11 rounds left.

When a person is humble after taking an L they can accept defeat and move forward by improving on their flaws. Lopez in his boxing career never experienced nor was he prepared in this fight. His team really underestimated Kambosos Jr and the underdog had nothing to lose with all odds against him.

From a boxing perspective being trained by his pops also contributes to his inflated ego because the father/son bond rarely ever becomes a success story it actually ruins the dynamics.

Lopez is still immature and has too much pride mixed with arrogance that alters his perception not only as a boxer but outside the ring as well. You saw it live with his whole I won this fight rant rather than giving his underdog opponent the props he deserved. Pride, ego and arrogance is his demise people like him never recover from Ls like this because their perception of reality and their identity is distorted. For reference listen to the Mike Tyson podcast interview and you will notice the arrogance outweighs humility.
