spinal stenosis is 24/7 pain and the doctor said i dont need surgery for now

Spinal stenosis happens when the space inside the backbone is too small. This can put pressure on the spinal cord and nerves that travel through the spine. Spinal stenosis happens most often in the lower back and the neck.

Some people with spinal stenosis have no symptoms. Others may experience pain, tingling, numbness and muscle weakness. Symptoms can get worse over time.

The most common cause of spinal stenosis is wear-and-tear damage in the spine related to arthritis. People who have serious spinal

As someone who also got back issues I can agree. My L2, L4, L5 vertebrae l have issues, an annular tear, herniated discs, a dehydrated dis . The annular tear creates a “bulge” that bulges on my sciatic nerve roots. sh1t was so bad I couldn’t walk for 4 months because the pain was non stop daily. Feeling like I couldn’t even stand or sit up upright because the sciatic nerves go in to a frenzy.l and I’ll have a spasm that would seize up my entire right side from the bottom of my rib cage to the bottom of my right foot.

fu#k back problems man. Even though I got the esi shots that tremendously helps and I can walk around again I still have burning sensations in my back side and leg. Cold water feel like scalding hot water now.

Had to make a lot lifestyle changes but yea back issues is a bi#ch. My situation doesn’t sound as bad yours but nonetheless I relate and agree with you.

Take of your back BX.

Yup. sh1t is the worst/weirdest pain i ever felt. That sh1t lingers and be ready to pop back up at the most random times. It's crazy how all it takes is a quick whiff of a familiar perfume or lotion.

so sorry you went through that my guy.

I'm going through a double pinched nerve right now on my left side. The pain is excruciating. Its incessant. I'm almost where you were but I'm taking every OTC med I can in excess. I hope I'm not doing permanent damage to my body.

How'd you get rid of your migraines?
Go to a doctor and see if they’ll prescribe you Gabapentin. It’s specifically for nerves. That sh1t works miracles for my back leg cuz I got nerve damage in my back as well.

I know the pain my boy. Take it easy and try not to use that side so much cuz those nerves can get inflamed and boy that sh1t is hell once they get inflammation

This. Tooth pain once those nerves start firing is unbearable and there's NOTHING you can do to relieve the pain.

Bruh, I had to get a root canal because I had an absess in a molar tooth. It was so bad even with anaesthesia I could still feel the drilling. Absolutely the worst pain ever in life. I'm still terrified on the dentist to this day.

it takes me 10 minutes to wake up because thats when the pain is at its worst. the only thing that works is tylenol twice a day. the nerve pain isnt realy noticeable unless i sit down for 45 minutes and stand up. 5 minutes later it starts to go away

Did they let the anesthesia settle in? I know when I got my tooth pulled and they started rocking it back and forth, I told them “I can feel that……”

He instantly stopped apologized and used more anesthesia and waited for a while

That list is almost right. Broken bones dont belong on that list.

The worst pain is always going to be some kind of nerve pain because it can be infinitely intense and it doesnt have to stop. You can be in pain 24/7. I think burns fall in this category, not just burns from fire, but electrical burns, chemical burns, friction burns and even cold burns

Your ortho hasn’t prescribed you nothing for the nerve pain specifically? Getting up for me in the morning is a bi#ch as well if I don’t time my medicine right.

I take gabapentin and methocarbmol. Gabapentin for my nerves and the methocarbomol is more musculoskeletal medication for acute pain. Taking those two will have me moving around and feeling great.

At least talk them and see if that’s an option for you bro. That way you ain’t gotta suffer every morning.

I was shot straight through the leg back in 94. No bones or arteries. They put gauze on my holes gave me some crutches and kicked me out the hospital in less than 24 hours. Tbh honest it hurt more when i pulled off my dressings wrong and the tape ripped my swollen leg open. The worst pain I remember is dropping one of those sliding closet doors on my big toe and it killed my nail. It turned black and fell off. Took almost a year to grow back. Hurt like a mf.
