They used to stay hatin during that segment. I remember when they went to the audience after they premiered Akon - locked up. At the time no one knew who he was. Outside of givin SP his props, they was killing that song and Akon.

That is true, unfortunately Drake has a stan base that is still massive and they enjoy any type of bs he put outs.

I was a Ja fan & I remember my n1ggas & older cousins clowning him before 50 even came back for “going soft” & “making love songs.” People fu#ked with mixtape 50, but once he said what all of the hood n1ggas were thinking about Ja, he became their undisputed champion. Kind of how n1ggas been sick of Drake for a minute but Kendrick was our avatar to say what we’ve been thinking for years.

To be honest people were getting tired of the formulaic Ja rule singles and 50 cent came along at the right time to diss him. ja rule by 2003 people were getting fatigue of hearing that same rinse and repeat formula he was putting out. Saying this he did drop a banger a few years later with R.Kelly that was fire.
