the show isnt really about the alien its about the weyland d-yutani war and merger
for this show to work everyone that comes in contact with the alien has to die because only weyland-yutani know they exist leading into the original

i dig the lore and like the corpo warfare angle the show is going for but anyone else think the editing is very amateurish? the fading transitions are really out of date. the end of ep 2 transition and fade out felt awkward as hell too. but maybe that's what they're going for? also yell laughed at the song choice at the end of ep 2. late 90s/early aughts butt rock?

honestly kind of liked it because it was so alarmingly goofy and nostalgic. if this show was made in that time period that song would of been a top 50 sounding song that nobody would bat an eye to having it play at the crescendo of an episode.

other than the strange editing i'm on board, i'm gonna stay tuned in. just very strange they went that route, especially given the writer/creator who i would of thought would never let things like that happen. maybe i'm missing something behind the scenes production wise or it's just him having fun. interesting none the less.

The editing is meant to be a throwback to the original alien movie in some ways, that's why it feels a bit off and outdated in some shots

I have supported the franchise my whole life, I don't like this particular vision of the alien story, it's my right to express it

Nobody should base their view of a show off someone else opinion in the first place
